Cycles of human existence characterize the qualities of the times. Today, we are living in the Kali
Yuga, a time period in human history driven by technology and rapid change; when finding
nourishment poses a greater challenge than encountering pollutants; when fear, masked by anger,
seems more prevalent than mutual understanding and love; when our external—and
internal—environments exude chaos and confusion moreso than equanimity and focus.
This is, however, the best time for yoga sadhana, for it is in today’s climate when the greatest fruits
are achieved in the shortest amount of time for a yogi, relative to other eras—provided we
understand how this is accomplished.
In this workshop, we’ll learn and sequence potent, time-tested tantric practice consisting of bandha,
mudra, pranayama and mantra recitation encouraged today for accelerating our personal, spiritual
growth and unfoldment, establishing inner equanimity, and rebalancing the forces of nature. From
the Yoga Sutra, Bhagavad Gita, and tantric sources, these are practices that:
 enhance our capacity to digest and assimilate
 cultivate a clear, calm, and tranquil mind
 stabilize our inner rhythm and harmony
 deepen and strengthen our connection to the Divine within
 give us the opportunity to affect the world around us in a manner that is illuminating,
positively strategic, essential, and evolutionary

Workshop level: The practices taught in this workshop presume a level of proficiency in asana and
pranayama. The workshop is open to all, as links to preparatory practice resources will be provided.
