When not teaching yoga, studying yoga theory or practicing yoga, I am an avid sewist. I love to sew, have a sewing room, and obtained a certificate in Technical Fashion Designs at Canada Community College in Redwood City California. Last summer, I made a reproduction hoop skirt from the 1850's. I am currently drafting an empire line day dress.  I am a mom of two boys, well, young adults now.  One is about to enter residency to be a doctor and one is about to attend a college to study American Sign Language and Deaf Studies. Have been married for 30 years and live in the Santa Cruz mountains.  I am lucky to take yoga classes with Mark Stephens and I took my 300hour Yoga Teacher Training with Mark. My maiden name is Shawn Mathews. My Facebook and Instagram are  under Shawn Sheahan - my husbands family name.
